The Apiary produces honey that is used with food to produce mead for your special mead soldiers. You may have a maximum of 10 Apiaries in any castle or outpost. To be able to build it you need to unlock "beekeeper barrier" in your "Hall of Legends" (sovereign buildings, line 2).
